What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is the art of amusing and diverting people. It is a form of entertainment that can be adapted to any scale, from a one-on-one encounter with a personal choice of prerecorded media to banquets arranged for two; from performances intended for thousands to satirical or critical works for an audience as large as the world’s population. Its diverse and multifaceted nature reflects the broader cultural context in which it develops, which is influenced by narrative traditions and moralism.

Many of the themes that entertain us are the ones we evolved to react deeply to. They include backstabbing, murders and other issues our brains were shaped to respond to as part of understanding the social world.
